Birthday Party Ideas That Kids Love - A Water Park Party by Gerald McBirmingham
A warm day offers the perfect opportunity for some sunbathing and a refreshing dip in the pool. If the yard does not have a pool, there are still plenty of water-related birthday party ideas for children. A water park themed party can be enjoyed any day of the year, even when snow is falling outside. This event will be awesome, whether kids visit an indoor or outdoor park or bring the water park to their backyard.
Outdoor water parks cater to people who love water and the sun. Kids zoom down water slides, float around a rambling river on tubes, and swing like Tarzan into different pools. An indoor park is the perfect venue when the weather is not cooperating. Children enjoy all the same activities in a warm indoor environment, heading to one of the party rooms to eat lunch and cake.
If money is tight, hold the event at home on a warm day. Buy some kiddie pools, a Slip-n-Slide, and rent a large, inflatable waterslide from a party store. Add some water guns and a fun sprinkler and let kids run around all day. Remind each guest to bring a bathing suit, towel, and flip-flops. Parents can be invited too, giving them a chance to relax in the sun and watch their kids enjoy the day.
Serve the easiest foods like hot dogs, French fries, pizza, mac and cheese, and chicken fingers. Keep children hydrated while they play outdoors by serving water, Gatorade, and fruit juice. If adults are attending, have some lemonade, soft drinks, and iced tea on hand. Create a water park cake that features pools made from blue Jell-O, fruit leather waterslides, and gummy bear swimmers.
Party games suitable for a water park party include water balloon races, a water gun shootout, and water balloon toss. Turn the traditional "Steal the Bacon" game into a squirt gun game and watch the fun that ensues. Capture this on film and use the home printer to create a photo for each guest, presenting it in a personalized dollar store frame as a party favor.
No child will shrug off birthday party ideas that have a water park theme. Take the child shopping to buy a special bathing suit for the event. Some kids will volunteer for party setup duty in the backyard, so let them help. They will enjoy creating different activity stations and showing guests around the area upon arrival.
